As viewers walk through the church and “play” the light cords, notes on the church’s organ ring in the space, turning the building into an instrument of its own. I like that it kind of looks like an alarm laser situation in a spy movie. However using the church may have been too easy of a solution for the need of resounding sound and an organ. Especially since the work makes no reference to religion and entirely ignores the space’s context although there is extensive analysis of the physical aspects of the space. The artist references Iannis Xenakis for her inspiration.
