My concept is to allow a viewer to visit a micro world.   I want to allow people to explore and appreciate the tiny places they are familiar with on a macro level but do not see or think about.  For example, the skin of a banana peel, the dust floating in the air, the tiny circuitry in processors.

I plan to use the Electron Scanning microscope in Pitt and construct a 3D model using a series of 2D images.  The model of these tiny landscapes/worlds will be blown up in AR so that viewers can see and explore them in their phone.

For my technical aspect, I tried to implement GPS geopositioning with limited success.  I’ll try to keep working on it, but I am also interested in the other difficult challenge of properly creating a 3D model from 2D scanning images.
