Although the video presents the face-tracking/projection mapping technology being applied to an actress with a pre-selected progression of effects, I think it presents a really fascinating new avenue into interactive art.  Most of the time the art requires the direct input of the user – either through moving their body to interact with the art, or through providing data about themselves to be used generatively.  In this instance, the viewer has no choice but to interact with the art, as it becomes part of their body, following their moves and using their face as a canvas.

Additionally, it makes the Identity Hiding suits from “A Scanner Darkly” a possibility, which presents a potential business application as well:
