Twitter bot: Enjoy The Film!

A Twitter bot that caught my eye and amused me is @EnjoyTheFilm. The bot looks for people tweeting about their imminent plans to watch a movie or TV episode and replies with a spoiler tweet.

What I love about this bot is the divisiveness with which people either like it or hate it. Being an ardent lover of films, I can totally relate to people being disappointed or even angry with the bot spoiling plots for them. At the same time, I can’t deny how hilarious some of the replies that this bot receives from haters are. A few more of my favorite ones are shown below.

I also like the shift in humor from the bot’s tweets to those of people receiving them. Unlike most bots, its tweets aren’t funny in themselves but elicit humorous replies from others.
