Dewards Hub is an interactive audio-visual interactive installation made by Hellicar & Lewis for the TED2012 conference in California. This installation linked social media with the real world, with what they call a conscious graphic. People could either interact with it by sending tweets with the hashtag #dewarshub or locally manipulate the data by means of a kinectic. The installation displayed the tweets and draw connections between them in a visual attractive manner. I find the project inspirational because it works on the border of the virtual and the real world. I think the main oppertunity missed is interactivity via twitter. It would have been cool if one could have altered the visualization by adding extra hashtags (ie. #blue).

Dune X is an interactive light installation by Studio Roosegaarde. Dune X is a large amount of fibers that light up according to the sound and motion of people passing by. I think this project is inspirational becauses the researches the area between technology and nature, this area is very interesting. Another thing I like about this installation is the interaction it evokes, people want to play with it, touch it and change the installation. Though stating this I still think there is a missed oppertunity in the playfulness of the animations and there is certainly room for improvement here.
