I was particularly struck by Irene’s twitter bot displaying the locations at which individuals had been shot by police.  When dealing with a topic that is not only so serious, but also so topically hot right now, it can be very easy to be shoe-horned into being “agenda driven” for one side of the issue or the other.  However, the focus of the bot is much more about making data real and tangible, rather than imposing a meaning on it.  The aggregate effect is of providing a concrete entryway into the discussion and a memorial for those who have lost their lives.
